The Federal University of Santa Catarina (Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, UFSC) is a public university located in the city of Florianopolis, capital of the state of Santa Catarina - southern Brazil. UFSC is ranked among the 10 best universities in teaching and research, in Latin America. UFSC’s is one of the leading Latin American research universities, the third largest university in Brazil with 28,766 undergraduate and 8,600 graduate enrolled students. UFSC has five campi in the state, in the cities of Florianópolis, Joinville, Araranguá, Curitibanos and Blumenau.
