It is a pleasure to announce that limited funding will be available to assist attendance at the third ICEHO World Congress of Environmental History to be held in Florianópolis, Brazil, and will be awarded to selected participants from countries not included in the current (2019) World Bank list of high-income economies.

Travel grants of up to $1 000 will be awarded, depending on the country from which travel to Florianópolis originates, and the strength of the motivation for assistance. Payment will be made in cash in USD at WCEH.
Preference will be given to early career scholars and graduate student but assistance will not be limited to this group.
Congress participants from low income countries in Latin America, Africa, South and East Asia, and Europe (see website above).
Applicants must have received notification that their papers have been accepted by the Program Committee for WCEH III.
Title and abstract of accepted presentation.
Title and abstract of the panel and names of co-panellists (if applicable).
2-page CV that provides institutional and residential addresses.
1-page statement (200-300 words) indicating how this grant will assist (give cost plan and motivation).
Letter of recommendation from a professor (in the case of students) or senior colleague (in the case of professors/lecturers and others) of applicant’s institution.
30 November 2018 deadline for applications.
15 January 2019 successful applicants will be notified.
